Aerial Hoop
A lesser known aerial apparatus than the pole, the aerial hoop is a discipline that comes straight from the circus. Also known as lyra, the aerial hoop lets you gracefully swing, spin and fly above the ground to showcase your best tricks and moves. More accessible than pole but just as fun, aerial hoop requires building strength over time to be able to lift yourself up into the hoop, but also spawns a wide variety of moves “under” the hoop and “above” the hoop.
We launched our Aerial Hoop classes in the spring of 2026 for our pole students, with the intention to offer classes for complete beginners in aerial disciplines in the summer of 2026. Sign up here to be notified of our next tryout sessions.
Aerial Hoop classes are 60 minutes long. We start with a cardio warm-up before moving on to tricks on the hoop that we later put together in a combo. At the end of the class, we always stretch for a few minutes.
